The institute has a library mainly to provide support to the students, research workers and teachers.  An effort has been taken to update the library with reference books and journals for the research and higher studies.

The institute has a regular training program for the members for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology both one year and two year. It has under its recognition forty institutions spread in different States of India for Medical Technology Training.  The AIIMT holds examination and issue diploma/certificates to the qualified Members. AIIMT is supported by State Medical Faculty and State Council of Technical Education. So far  about 8500 students have come out as qualified technologists from this institute.

The institute organized Continuing Education Program in collaboration with Essex Community College, USA and ACEEC, Jadavpur University, Calcutta to update knowledge of MTs.  Apart from that the institute has arrangement for  Associate Membership  and Fellow Membership  examinations to qualify the professional medical technologists.
